Life Hack Tuesdays: Mark your targeted water intake.

Hey Dolls,

Todays Life Hack is probably the most useful! I can never stress enough on the importance of water intake. Its a solution to so many beauty problems but its also true that you should not intake all the water together at once as it affects the liver and kidneys! Try distributing your water intake throughout the day leaving gaps after your meals. I found a clever way that you should definitely try.

First of all make a target for your water intake. You can stick to 8 glasses a day r if you want to calculate in details you can find your ideal intake here.

Fill the entire amount of water in container(s) and mark targeted timings on it with a permanent marker. Keep it in your room or wherever you spend most of your time. This will help you intake the water periodically and appropriately. You can also set multiple alarms on your phone to remind you to have water.

Do try this and send me pictures of your favorite water bottle using #Anshika or #bombaygirl07,

Hey Dolls,

It’s that time of the year again when we plan our spring vacations, and head out to explore the world, especially because its warmer its easier to explore. As some of us are planning our trips to warmer climates, we fail to write the trusty checklist, and more than once forget something as we head out the door. I remember when I went to Maldives a couple of years ago, I failed to take my insect repellant & sunscreen, and boy was I sorry!! It’s horrible to realize you forgot your keys, wallet, or even worse…your passport in the house, especially when you’re already halfway to the airport! So here it is…my ultimate travel checklist, so you will never miss the most important travel stuff!

You can download this, print it out, and enjoy your vacation! Do tell me about your plans for the vacations and upload your pictures. Let me know what your travelling essentials. Be safe when in a foreign country & take good care of yourselves even when on holidays, I'll do more of travelling related posts so stay tuned!

Life Hack Tuesday: Fit into those shoes!

Hey Dolls,

We all know how sale days get, gathering all the things you like, picking up things with the best deals & making sure you don't pick up a damaged piece or leave anything you want for others. I bought this pair of shoes from sale & in a hurry the salesman gave me 1 shoe from the pair a size smaller than my actual size, when I realized and went back, the pieces was sold out, So yes! I have a pair of shoe in my closet which is not of the same size.

Do you have a pair of shoe that you love but its a little tight on some areas of your feet or you really want to buy this beautiful pair you had your eyes on but is not available in your size then this is the post for you!

All you need is a hair dryer, pair of socks & your shoes, you can skip the sock if you fit into the shoes but just want it to be more comfortable, wear your socks and slip your feet into the shoe, then blow dry the shoes focusing on the tighter areas, repeat as required, then remove your socks, you'll easily fit into the shoes, My sister does it all the time to fit into my shoes! It works with all the fabrics and vinyl!
Take care of your shoes by storing them in dust free area.

Liked the post? Do let me know via twitter or instagram & if you have a sale disaster you can share your story using #bombaygirl07 on twitter and i'll try giving a solution to it. Let me know if you have a post idea. Keep smiling and have lots of green tea!

Life Hack Tuesdays: Remove Egg Yolk Perfectly Everytime!

Hey Dolls,

Today I'm going to share with you this amazing trick I found on the Internet here, Its supposedly how Russians do it and I've tried over a hundredth time and it always works!

I specially do it when making Macrons to perfectly remove the yolk as a whole, its a great way to get your egg-whites separated!

All you need to do is follow these 5 easy steps!

  1. Break an egg in a bowl (If you're quick enough you can do it directly on the pan too, works for me!)
  2. Take an empty plastic bottle (uncapped), give it a mild squeeze.
  3. While still squeezing it place the opening on the egg yolk, don't press on it, you don't want the yolk to break.
  4. Release the squeeze, it will vacuum the egg yolk in and you're left with your egg-whites! Mind Blown!
  5. Try not to play with the egg yolk!

Do try this and remember don't waste the egg yolk, instead put it your hair and roots for 40 minutes before washing for smooth hair, this will give your hair all the proteins it requires to be healthy. Do let me know how did you like this trick by commenting or take a picture and tag me in the tweets or on Instagram, you can directly follow me by clicking on the respective icons on the top right corner. Take good care of yourself and keep smiling!

XOXO,
Anshika Agarwal

Life Hack Tuesdays: Dilute Red Wine Stains with white wine.

Hey dolls,

If you love red wine put your hands up, you are awesome! But how many can you have before getting it on your clothes? I'm sure every red wine drinker has been been a victim atleast once! Whats worse then having a stain on your favourite clothes ot carpets? Staying with them, So heres a trick that can save us from the embarrassment, Use white wine! Yeah, you read that correctly. When you’re at a party and you accidentally spill some red wine on your blouse, immediately pour white wine over the stain and let it air-dry. The white neutralizes the red making it less visible and easier to take out the stain. Incase of couch, carpet where the object has soaked the wine add salt it'll soak the red wine neutralizing the effect further. This tip only make the colour neutralized & less visible, doesn't completely remove the stain.

So the next time you have Sangria on your dress, Don't obsess over it and continue to enjoy the party!

XOXO,

Anshika Agarwal.
